Andrew Groneberg

The funeral service for Andrew Dennis Groneberg, 26, of Ipswich, is 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at Richland Wesleyan Church, rural Mina, with Pastor Ron Wickard leading the worship. Visitation is one hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial will be in Pioneer Cemetery in Wheaton, MN.

Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.

Andrew Dennis Groneberg was born May 16, 1982 in Watertown, SD to Randall and Rhonda (Bitterman) Groneberg. He grew up on the family farm near South Shore, SD with his brother's Joshua, Jamie and Nicholas. Andrew loved the farm and especially riding on the tractor with his Dad.

In 1991 the family moved to Ipswich, SD where he would graduate from Ipswich High School in 2000. That summer he worked in Alaska with his dad and brother Jamie. He loved the beauty of Alaska and enjoyed taking pictures and hiking. Andrew especially enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews. He most recently resided in Ipswich.

Andrew died Thursday, January 8, 2009 at Avera St. Luke's Hospital in Aberdeen.

Andrew is survived by his parents, Randall and Rhonda Groneberg of Ipswich. Brothers: Jamie (Jamie Renee) Groneberg of Spearfish, SD and their daughters Avery and Londyn. Nicholas (Lottie) Groneberg of Ipswich, and their children: Schylar, Ava & Moses. Niece: Cortez Standing Bear, Pine Ridge, SD. Grandparents: Dennis & Sandra Groneberg, Wheaton, MN. Mal Bitterman, Huron, SD.

He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Doris Bitterman and brother Joshua Groneberg.
