Barbara L Gibbs

Barbara Lee Gibbs, age 72, of Ipswich, SD passed away Friday, August 4, 2023, at the Aberdeen Health and Rehab in Aberdeen, SD after battling cancer.

Barbara was born on August 10, 1950, in Trenton, New Jersey to James and Thelma (Newell) Chew.

She married Ralph Louis Gibbs on October 14, 1989.   A year later, they welcomed their youngest daughter, Diana Marie Gibbs.

In 2019, Ralph and Barbara moved from Cocoa, FL to Ipswich, SD to be closer to their daughter.

Barbara was a kind, warm-hearted person and loved watching her grandchildren, not to mention she loved watching her soap operas and playing cards.

She is survived by her children: Douglas Davison of Ipswich, SD; Sharon Orsini of Jupiter, FL; Diana Gibbs of Ipswich, SD and her 3 stepchildren: Andrea and Justin Gibbs-Merritt, and Eric Gibbs of Tamp FL, and 4 grandchildren.

Barbara was so loved and will be missed by many.

In honor of Barbara’s wishes, no formal service will be held.
