Joshua Groneberg

The funeral service for Joshua R. Groneberg, 32, of Miami, FL and formerly of Ipswich is at 4:00 p.m. today, August 23, 2008 at Richland Wesleyan Church, rural Mina. Rev. Ron Wickard will lead the service. See the links page on www.grammfuneralhome.com for maps and directions to the church.

Burial will be on Sunday, August 24, at Pioneer Cemetery in Wheaton, MN.

Visitation will be today for one hour prior to the service at Richland Wesleyan Church.

The family requests memorials rather than flowers.

Joshua was born June 10, 1976 to Randall and Rhonda (Bitterman) Groneberg at Wheaton, MN. While an infant his family moved to South Shore, SD where Joshua
started school. In 1991 the family moved to Ipswich, SD where he graduated from Ipswich High School in 1995.

He then joined the Box Elder Job Corp and learned the skill of bricklaying. Joshua then moved with his girlfriend, Brandi Standing Bear, to Rapid City where he worked as a maintenance man in the apartment complex in which they lived. Together they had one daughter, Cortez.

He moved to Aberdeen in 2000 and went to work as a painter. He then moved to Florida in 2004 with his girlfriend, Toylene Stanley. He had most recently been living in Miami where he died on Friday, August 15, 2008.

Joshua is survived by his parents, Randall and Rhonda Groneberg of Ipswich; his daughter, Cortez of Pine Ridge, SD; three brothers Jamie (Jamie Renee) Groneberg and their daughter, Avery, of Buffalo, WY, Andrew Groneberg of Ipswich and Nicholas (Lottie) Groneberg and their children, Schylar and Ava of Ipswich; grandparents, Dennis and Sandra Groneberg of Wheaton, MN and Mal Bitterman of Huron, SD.

His grandmother Doris preceded him in death.

Casket bearers will be Jamie Groneberg, Andrew Groneberg, Nick Groneberg, Justin Blacksmith, Sam Eagle Star, Randy Bitterman, and DeWayne Groneberg.
