I want to thank Matt and Schriver Funeral Home for the caring and professional manner in handling the services and burial of our dear mother. Matt did an exemplary job in working with us through this tough time. For that, I and my family are truly grateful.
When our father, Harlan Krein, passed away in April, 2022, we called Schriver Funeral Home to take care of the arrangements. Matt Leonard was caring, understanding, and a great listener, all while maintaining professionalism and making sure all of our needs were met. We felt comfortable asking many questions while trying to honor our father's wishes. We would highly recommend Schriver Funeral Home. Susie Treftz, Brad Krein and Laurie Fortezzo
We are always interested in hearing from the families that we serve. Please take a moment to let us know how well we served you in your time of need. We very much appreciate your feedback.
Schriver's Memorial Mortuary in Aberdeen was founded in 1961 when Ray and Mary K. Schriver purchased the former Kreuger Mortuary. Ray and Mary K. worked together growing their family business and in 1978, when Ray suddenly passed away, Mary K. began operating the mortuary as its owner-operator.
In 1987, Mary K. and her sons, George and Jim, and daughter, Mary, designed and built a new facility moving Schriver's Mortuary to 414 Fifth Avenue Northwest along Highway 281 in Aberdeen. Mary K. purchased the land and began the process of designing and building a new mortuary from the ground up. George and his wife Stacy Schriver have been successfully operating Schriver's Memorial since Mary's passing.
The pair expanded west in 2022 when they purchased the former Gramm Funeral Home, now Schriver Funeral Home.
